How it works
It can be an anniversary, a honeymoon, a retirement trip, an elopement, any reason, or just because. Flâner is for people who want to experience a place slowly and personally: mornings at the market, an afternoon on a trail that isn't in any guidebook, evenings somewhere by the water as the light turns gold. I can walk through the planning with you like a well-connected friend who happens to know the area, then follow you through the days themselves with a camera, so the journey comes home with you exactly as it felt.
I won't build your itinerary for you; think of me as a well-connected friend with good instincts and good recommendations. Where to stay, which trail to take, which restaurant to book before it fills up. You make the decisions, I make sure the right ones are in front of you.
The hike at sunrise, the market before it gets busy, the swim before anyone else is awake. I stay close but out of the way, capturing the days as they actually happen, not staging them to look a certain way.
You'll come home to an online gallery of the journey in full, plus a printed keepsake: we'll choose your favourite images together and have them made into a handcrafted album, sent straight to your door. If you'd like, I can shoot some of it on film too; there's a particular kind of imperfection in it that suits slow travel and once in a lifetime moments.
Most of my journeys take shape around the Mediterranean: the coastlines, the lake towns, the places that reward slowness. But I'm just as happy to travel further afield if that's where your story is.
